Nashik: It is always an exhilarating and fulfilling experience to be honoured and recognized in your own hometown, by your own people. Nashik-based ESDS' Founder & CMD, Piyush Somani was honored with the 'Nashik Ratna 2018' award recently by Nashik News channel in the category of 'industrialists'. 'Nashik Ratna' has been conceptualized by Chief Editor of the channel Laxman Ghatol and is a tribute to individuals doing phenomenal work in their respective fields in Nashik and achieving their goals with positive thinking and foresight.
Somani received the accolade at the hands of Honorable MP Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Bhosale. The award ceremony was held on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the channel. The aim was to honour individuals who have established themselves in a positive light in political, social, educational, industrial, agricultural, business, health or other fields.
Others who were also honoured on the occasion included Hemant Rathi of Rambandhu Masale, Sujoy Gupta of Samraat Group, Ratan Luth of Fravashi Group, Vishwas Thakur of Vishwas Co-operative Bank, leading oncologist Dr Raj Nagarkar, Renu Birmani and PB Karanjkar.
