About Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE)

MSBSHSE is an autonomous body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965. MSBSHSE conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state of Maharashtra through its nine Divisional Boards located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri. The Board conducts online examination for around 1.5 to 2 lac students every year.

Challenges and Requirements

MSBSHSE’s existing IT infrastructure lacked the flexibility and agility to support their online examinations’ platform. They had previously faced issues such as slow speeds and unresponsive examination platform, which had led to unsuccessful organization of examinations. MSBSHSE’s IT team wished to migrate their online examination platform, data, and other applications on a Cloud platform, and thus required a Cloud Service Provider (CSP).

The Solution

To address MSBSHSE’s challenges and requirements, ESDS suggested hosting the online examination solution on Government Community Cloud (GCC) which embraces ESDS eNlight Cloud’s Auto-Vertical Scaling technology.
