Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System replaces their earlier leading cloud service provider with ESDS’ eNlight which met their requirements

Introduction

Tamil Nadu Government has implemented the Universal Public Distribution System (UPDS) as there is no exclusion made based on the income criteria of residents. Hon'ble Chief Minister has made the Universal Public Distribution System, friendly for the underprivileged by providing rice, wheat, sugar etc. at free of cost to all eligible card holders from 01/06/2011.

Challenge

Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System was facing issues with their existing cloud providers and the issues were- data security and application management. They wanted a Govt. of India empaneled CSP which could provide them resource scaling facility. They were unsatisfied with a world’s leading cloud service provider because they were finding it difficult to meet their business requirements due to improper resource scaling.

Further, data breach and cost were another main concerns and they were not happy with their earlier CSP.
