Sovereign at the Core
Built for India
Ready for the World

In 2005, a 26-year-old engineer launched India's first sovereign cloud infrastructure from a borrowed classroom. No foreign capital. No outsourced control plane. One conviction: India’s data belongs under Indian law, on Indian soil, managed by Indian hands. Twenty years later, ESDS operates six Tier III data centers across India, serves government institutions, BFSI enterprises and critical national infrastructure, holds patented vertical auto-scaling cloud and carries that same sovereign mandate across nations. This is not a compliance story. It is a conviction that became the infrastructure underneath India's digital economy.

2005 to 2026. Every Milestone

Sr.No Year Event Significance
01 2005 No backing. No blueprint. One conviction. India’s data must be Indian-owned.
02 2006 Twelve months in. First international clients. The company nearly did not survive Year 1. It did.
03 2007 Cloud platform. Data centre management system. Billing software. The foundation of every product ESDS would ever build.
04 2008 Not rented. Not leased. Built and owned. The first sovereign data centre in ESDS history. Still running.
05 2011 The world’s first patented vertical auto-scaling cloud. No other cloud provider on earth holds this.
06 2014 US Patent 9176788. The United States validated what ESDS built in Nashik.
07 2015 UK Patent GB2493812. India Patent 397708. Three countries. One patent. No other cloud provider holds it anywhere.
08 2016 Second sovereign data centre. Maharashtra's financial capital now had Indian-owned cloud infrastructure underneath it.
09 2017 The culture was independently verified for the first time. Not the last.
10 2018 International expansion to the Middle East. Building outward and inward simultaneously.
11 2019 Enterprise software on Indian infrastructure. The vision of a complete sovereign technology ecosystem taking shape.
12 2020 India's technology capital now had Indian-owned cloud infrastructure. Recognized across 8 Asian countries.
13 2021 Sovereign cloud reaching Indian agriculture. Culture recognized simultaneously.
14 2022 Fourth sovereign data centre. Northern India covered. Among the most energy-efficient data centres in India.
15 2023 Northern India presence strengthened. Independent recognition from a new direction.
16 2024 Sovereign AI infrastructure gets its R&D home. GPU clusters. LLM development. The next twenty years begin here.
17 2025 Fifth and sixth sovereign data centres. Two STPI-designated locations. Six cities. All running.
18 2026 The conviction that started in a kindergarten classroom is now the infrastructure underneath India’s most critical institutions

ESDS Sovereign Infrastructure Footprints

Built Here. Rooted Here. Running Here.

ESDS operates Indian-owned data centers across strategic locations in India, supporting enterprise, BFSI, government and mission-critical digital infrastructure workloads. Each facility is operational, Tier III certified and built for sovereign infrastructure, regulatory alignment and long-term operational continuity.

Nashik

Nashik

  • Where the Underdogs Built the Benchmark

Nobody expected ESDS’s sovereign cloud story to begin in Nashik. That was the point. No legacy to protect. No playbook to follow. Just a team building sovereign cloud and data center infrastructure long before the market started talking about digital sovereignty. What emerged here became the foundation of ESDS’s sovereign infrastructure footprint across India. Our largest facility. Our deepest operational capabilities. The backbone supporting enterprise, BFSI, government and mission-critical workloads. From here. Still from here.

DC-Mumbai

Navi Mumbai

  • Planned City. Unplanned Downtime? Never.

Built from scratch to support the scale, density and operational pressure Mumbai outgrew. Navi Mumbai was India’s urban experiment and it worked. This data center was built with the same intent: for workloads where uptime is measured in business impact, where a second of downtime costs and nobody in the boardroom finds it funny.

DC-STPI-Bengaluru

STPI Bengaluru

  • The City That Argues About Tech at 2 AM. We Keep the Servers Running While They Do.

India’s startup capital. Its “we’ll disrupt that” capital. Bengaluru runs demanding workloads and demands demanding infrastructure. Built for density. GPU-ready. IoT-monitored. Designed for enterprises, platforms and digital businesses that operate around the clock. The city never sleeps. Neither does this data center.

DC-STPI-Mohali

STPI Mohali

  • The north is serious about sovereignty. So are we.

Built for reliability, continuity and geographic resilience. Northern India’s enterprises and government workloads needed sovereign infrastructure designed to support long-term operational demands. Maximum geographic separation for disaster recovery pairing. The north is covered.

DC-STPI-Noida

STPI Noida

  • The Capital's Backyard. The Country's Command Center.

Noida sits at the center of northern India’s enterprise and government activity. This facility brings MeitY-empanelled, sovereign infrastructure to workloads that demand compliance without compromise. STPI-registered. Built for density, operational continuity and mission-critical deployments. Sovereign, where it matters most.

DC-STPI-Kolkata

STPI Kolkata

  • The east runs deep. So does this infrastructure.

India's eastern enterprises, government bodies and financial institutions run serious workloads. This facility brings sovereign, compliant infrastructure to match. Built for the institutions that have always defined this city. The east, covered right.

Regional by presence. Sovereign by design. Choose your fortress.

Four Commitments. Billion-Scale

ESDS’s 4Bs by 2027 mission is not a growth target. It is a declaration of what technology should accomplish for people, for the planet and for India.

4B
01

To Connect with 1 Billion People

Sovereign technology for every Indian. From the unbanked farmer receiving a MUDRA loan to the smart city citizen tracking their grievance online.

02

To Connect 1 Billion Devices

The smart metering rollout, the IoT pipelines, the edge infrastructure for Industry 4.0. All sovereign. All accountable.

03

To Become 1 Billion $ Enterprise

A billion-dollar technology company from a Tier 2 city. Not a relocation story. Built for the world.

04

To Plant 1 Billion Trees

The company is planting trees, adopting villages and building data centres.

The Conviction Has Not Changed.
The Scale Has
