ESDS Public Cloud Architecture

What Makes ESDS Cloud Secure
The ESDS public cloud platform is designed with security as a core component, incorporating mechanisms to address a wide range of cybersecurity threats. It includes the use of encryption algorithms, access management, and adherence to applicable industry regulations and standards. These measures support the protection of hosted applications, websites, databases, and sensitive information.
ESDS Cloud Security and Managed SOC Services
In addition to built-in security features, ESDS offers Managed Security Operations Center (SOC) services that enable continuous monitoring and incident response. Policies are implemented to maintain data confidentiality and reduce the risk of unauthorized access, data breaches, or information leaks. These services are structured to help clients meet regulatory requirements and enhance overall infrastructure security.

Physical Security
ESDS applies physical security practices across its data center and cloud infrastructure environments, incorporating measures designed to prevent unauthorized access. Access to infrastructure facilities is managed by trained security personnel and restricted to authorized individuals only. Identity verification is mandatory for visitors, who are accompanied by staff during their presence in secured areas.
Security infrastructure includes multi-layered controls such as video surveillance, biometric access systems, motion sensors, and alarm-enabled entry detection. Physical access logs are maintained and audited regularly. Information access within the facility is restricted to employees with validated business requirements, supporting operational security and compliance with internal control standards.
Cloud Infrastructure Security
ESDS employs multiple layers of security to protect data stored within its cloud infrastructure. Encrypted data is stored on isolated storage systems that are not exposed to the public network. Measures such as thick provisioning are implemented to reduce the risk of data sharing between customers and support storage integrity. The ESDS cloud platform utilizes hardware virtualization technology to isolate cloud servers at the hypervisor level. The virtualization layer is configured to automatically reset storage blocks between users, thereby minimizing the risk of data exposure across customer environments.

Server Isolation and Security
The ESDS cloud platform includes an isolation layer that replicates cloud resources to support the operational requirements of the original server. This enables applications and servers to operate within the cloud environment without modification or redesign, helping to reduce potential service disruption during migration or scaling. The platform architecture allows for the extension of security controls across physical servers, virtual machines, cloud-based servers, and virtual desktops. These integrated components are configured to support consistent application, server, and data protection across different deployment environments.
Storage Security
Data stored in the ESDS cloud environment is encrypted, and access to the content is restricted. Cloud system administrators have visibility limited to metadata such as file names and storage locations, without access to the actual file content. This separation supports data confidentiality within internal operations. Cloud storage systems are isolated from public-facing networks and operate within a private network framework. Network traffic is routed through multiple enterprise-grade firewalls rather than directly via the internet, reducing the exposure to external threats and supporting a controlled data flow environment.

Network Security
Every consumer is kept in a separate VLAN by a backend L3 switch. This lowers minor network vulnerabilities while also providing considerable protection against typical network security concerns such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, Man in the Middle (MITM) attacks, IP Spoofing, Port Scanning, and packet sniffing by other tenants. Security is provided on multiple levels: the host's operating system (OS), the virtual instance OS or guest OS, and the Firewall.
The ARP access list is used to avoid man-in-middle attacks and IP thefts.
On request dedicated Firewall Provision with SSL and IPsec VPNs.
High-end Cisco anomaly detector with sophisticated algorithms to analyze the traffic.
Out-of-Path Traffic filtering system to block malicious traffic without affecting regular traffic.
High-end Cisco anomaly Guard can handle 1Gbit/s traffic to protect the network from DDoS attacks.
Private VLANs.
Optional hardware firewall or load-balancing.
Anti-spoof / anti-sniff firewall technology.
Customer isolation in the public cloud.
Security Add-on for Public Cloud
ESDS has multiple ISP located at the data center, which work in redundancy with each other to ensure minimal downtime. Additionally, ESDS proposes a dedicated virtual Firewall for each department or client to ensure that every traffic passing through it is clean and secure. By providing a higher level of compatibility with client platforms and configurations for remote networks and firewalls, Web VPNs provide reliable connections. ESDS also offers authenticated and unauthenticated operating system/network vulnerability scans, web application vulnerability scans, and database application vulnerability scans.

Network Isolation
ESDS cloud infrastructure utilizes network virtualization techniques to segment internal and external cloud networks while sharing the same physical hardware. This approach enables controlled allocation of network resources and isolation between user environments, supporting performance consistency and reducing operational risk. Network isolation mechanisms help limit the expansion of security threats such as malware by containing them within defined segments. External access to isolated cloud servers is restricted through authentication-based controls, reducing the likelihood of unauthorized communication attempts or exposure to external threats.
