exactly WMI is and use of WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation).<\/p>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Presentation\"><\/span>Presentation:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">WMI is a technology that is built into all the latest operating systems <span id=\"e0e6091a-b1cd-4378-bb2c-b15eb213f427\" class=\"\">of<\/span> Windows (starting from the unfortunate Windows ME), which can be exploited by the system for the management of PC or Server\/s in local or remote.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We can use it, for example, to start a process (also according to a specific schedule), to restart a PC or a server, but also simply to obtain information such as the list of installed applications or content of the event log.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">For information, WMI is Microsoft\u2019s implementation of WBEM (Web Based Enterprise Management), an industry standard that defines access to information useful for device management, the standard on which the representation is CIM (Common Information Model).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition, many of software dedicated to the management of devices in a local network interrogate WMI to get the information they need, as you with a database. But you can do it very easily.<\/p>\n<h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Implementation\"><\/span>Implementation:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>In this tutorial we will see steps to enable WMI on Windows machine for adding in <span id=\"e22ed9e9-6d51-4093-a978-cfe80e052414\" class=\"\">eMagic<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Step_1%E2%80%93_In_step_one_follow_the_below_10_simple_instructions\"><\/span>Step 1\u2013 In step one, follow the below 10 simple instructions:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Login with Admin credentials.<\/li>\n<li>Press Windows + R key or go to start \u2013 and then go to run.<\/li>\n<li>Enter \u201c<span id=\"23ff678a-349b-411a-9a90-a766765cf7a2\" class=\"\">wmimgmt<\/span><span id=\"c24928fd-2b3a-41c7-b99f-e0c6df1f97e6\" class=\"\">.<\/span><span id=\"2fca533d-157c-4558-bf09-608d5b5cfd02\" class=\"\">msc<\/span>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>Right click on WMI control.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Properties.<\/li>\n<li>Then Go to <span id=\"e4a3b450-69fd-46a8-88de-9f4cdb461be0\" class=\"\">security tab<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Select root and click security button below<\/li>\n<li>Select a User.<\/li>\n<li>Allow all to <span id=\"404e00c6-7153-4a14-bbea-48a8484678d0\" class=\"\">user<\/span> (whose username and password will be used in <span id=\"284a26fc-d65b-4145-bf9b-e86264493a7d\" class=\"\">eMagic<\/span>).<\/li>\n<li>Press OK.
