{"id":2941,"date":"2015-07-04T03:44:35","date_gmt":"2015-07-04T03:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/kb\/?p=2941"},"modified":"2015-07-04T03:46:34","modified_gmt":"2015-07-04T03:46:34","slug":"installing-emagic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/kb\/installing-emagic\/","title":{"rendered":"Installing eMagic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2942\" src=\"http:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/^2150636183E9AC75857F7C601BE821A2F947B09356D9F88B27^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr.jpg\" alt=\"^2150636183E9AC75857F7C601BE821A2F947B09356D9F88B27^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr\" width=\"674\" height=\"327\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/^2150636183E9AC75857F7C601BE821A2F947B09356D9F88B27^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr.jpg 674w, https:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/^2150636183E9AC75857F7C601BE821A2F947B09356D9F88B27^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr-300x146.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 674px) 100vw, 674px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here are the installation steps for eMagic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>System Hardware Requirements for eMagic Software<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>64 bit Machine<\/li>\n<li>Ram &#8211; Min 4 GB (Recommended \u2013 16 GB)<\/li>\n<li>HDD &#8211; Min 150 GB<\/li>\n<li>Processor \u2013 Single quad core (Recommended \u2013 2 quad core)<\/li>\n<li>No OS required &#8211; eMagic ISO will be provided.<\/li>\n<li>Network Interface, 1GB network Card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following are the Steps to be followed for installing eMagic Software:<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 1<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Boot the system with the use of CD or ISO Image. User will see Screen splash of eMagic System, where user will see two options listed under welcome screen &amp; they are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Install eMagic System<\/li>\n<li>Boot from Local Drive<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 2<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Select <strong>Install eMagic System<\/strong> option to proceed with the eMagic System Installation. Over a selection of Install eMagic System option; a screen will appear in front of user, it will be loading two processes of the kernel, namely:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>vmlinuz<\/li>\n<li>initrd.img<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Both above mentioned files should <strong>ideally<\/strong> get installed in 1 to 2 mins.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 3<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> After a successful completion of <strong>Step 2<\/strong>, a <strong>Configure TCP\/IP Network screen<\/strong> will appear.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 4<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Select an option according to your system environment [i.e. Static or Dynamic] to configure a network, user can configure their network by selecting one option enlisted under enable IPV4 Support Section &amp; these options are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Dynamic IP Configuration (DHCP)<\/li>\n<li>Manual Configuration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Case 1<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> If user has DHCP [dynamic] environment, then select <strong>Dynamic IP Configuration<\/strong>, Click on <strong>OK<\/strong> button &amp; proceed to <strong>Step 7. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Case 2<\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>If user has static environment, then user have to manually configure their network by providing the details such as IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway &amp; name server address.\u00a0 To perform so: select <strong>Manual Configuration<\/strong> Option &amp; click on <strong>Ok<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 5<\/u><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> On selecting a Manual Network Configuration action, a <strong>Manual TCP\/IP Configuration Screen <\/strong>will appear in front of user, where user must manually enter below mentioned fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IPV4 Address<\/li>\n<li>Subnet-Mask<\/li>\n<li>Gateway<\/li>\n<li>Name Server<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 6<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Click on<strong> OK <\/strong>button to save the manually configured network settings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 7<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>After following steps for setting up a network configuration, <strong>Root Password screen <\/strong>will appear in front of user. User will have to set the <strong>root password<\/strong> of their choice which will help them to login into eMagic system &amp; then click on <strong>OK <\/strong>button to save it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 8<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>After setting up a root password action, <strong>Partitioning Type Screen<\/strong> will appear in front of user. This step is an important part of eMagic Installation. User gets here a list of partitioning modes from which they can select of their choices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 9<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Select partitioning mode of your choice, example: we have selected first mode [i.e. Use Entire Drive] for partitioning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 10<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Select <strong>xvda<\/strong> [Xen Virtual Block device] drive for the further installation process &amp; then click on <strong>OK <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<u>Step 11<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>User will <strong>see Installation Starting Screen,<\/strong> if all the steps till now are followed accurately.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 12<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>After a successful installation of process,<strong> Package Installation Screen<\/strong> will appear in front of user which installs the packages that are dependent on eMagic System in the backend. Now user can relax till all the system dependent packages get installed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 13<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>After a successful installation of eMagic &amp; all of its packages on user\u2019s system, <strong>Installation Complete screen<\/strong> will appear in front of the user.<\/p>\n<p>Click on <strong>Reboot<\/strong> button to use the installed system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 14<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Once users\u2019 system is properly installed &amp; booted up, then user can access eMagic System using System\u2019s browser. To do so, user should go through following two cases:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Case 1: <\/strong>If user is static then they must be aware of their system IP.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Case 2:<\/strong> If user is dynamic, then find out Systems\u2019 IP address by using IPconfig command.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 15<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Now Using<strong> Step 14, <\/strong>user is aware of its system <strong>IP address, <\/strong>using it user will able to access<strong> eMagic Web portal. <\/strong>To do so, user should enter its IP address into address bar of their system browser as: <strong>http: \/\/ &lt;IP Address&gt;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This step wills validate whether all pre-requisites of <strong>eMagic system <\/strong>are accurately configured &amp; if they are then <strong>eMagic Installation Pre-requisite Screen<\/strong> will appear in front of user.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 16<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Click on <strong>Next<\/strong> button, this will show a <strong>Configuration <\/strong>screen of eMagic System. This screen allows user to put required configuration parameters of eMagic like<\/p>\n<p>Database Details, Admin Login Details License File etc. User has to contact eMagic<\/p>\n<p>Support Service for generating eMagic license with eMagic Server IP.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Step 17<\/u><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>After performing <strong>Step 1<\/strong> to <strong>Step 1<\/strong><strong>6<\/strong> accurately, eMagic System will get successfully installed &amp; user will see <strong>eMagic Installation Complete screen,<\/strong> where using the mentioned link in screen, user can login to the eMagic Datacenter Management System &amp; utilize its functionalities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now your eMagic is all set for use, enjoy the magic of eMagic!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Checkout our detailed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esds.co.in\/emagic-docs\/eMagic_Installation-guide.pdf\">eMagic Installation guide<\/a> with screenshots.
