Job Description:
  • Good leadership qualities with the ability to review & evaluate the work of a team & individuals within it.

  • Performing scheduled maintenance & re-structuring tasks designed to improve performance & maximize available resources.
  • Ability to work on multiple incidents & complete simultaneous projects in a timely manner.

  • 5+ Years' relevant experience on a high volume enterprise help desk or similar support role.
  • Excellent hands on experience Microsoft Windows, Linux server, Exchange, VMWare, Hyper-V Virtualization.
  • Possessing troubleshooting skills in network connectivity, including LAN, WAN & TCP/IP technology.
  • Server security hardening, antivirus servers, WSUS/patch management etc. experience.
  • Well versed with Mail servers, DNS working, etc.
  • Experienced in managing various storage devices, eg: Dell, IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, EMC, etc. & familiar with protocols such as ISCSI, NFS, FC, FCoE, etc.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft, RHEL, SUSE product licensing & management would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Failover Clustering, MSSQL AlwaysON, MySQL/MariaDB clustering & its components.
  • Have a strong understanding of incident SLA management & ITIL concepts.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Should be able to manage escalation received from L1/L2 or directly from Enterprise customers. Diagnose problems, recommend & implement solutions as necessary.
  • Monitor systems for equipment failure, errors in performance & hardware failures.
  • Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup & disaster recovery planning.
  • Serve as the point of contact for medium to complex issues impacting company IT operations.
  • Provide support for technology projects as required to include OS & application patching, network testing, etc.
  • Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement, problem resolution & workflow improvements.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to the Change Management process, including presenting change requests with sufficient clarity to allow the appropriate authority to understand the reason for the change, the associated risk, the ease of regression & the implications of making or not making the change.
  • To provide on-job training for new staff joining the team.
  • To assist with regular audits & preparation of audits.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative coordinating the shift, being thorough & accurate in all documentation.
  • Perform security audits & updates on Windows &/or Linux servers.
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision in a structured, methodical manner.
  • Display a passion for technology & proactively keep up to date with emerging technologies & practices.
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts & technologies.
  • Analyze issues, evaluate options & suggest recommended solutions.
  • Ability to capture technical details to write documentation & procedures.
  • Demonstrate experience identifying issues, troubleshooting, diagnosing, & carrying them through to resolution.
