Chief Technology Officer

We are looking for a competent CTO (Chief Technology Officer) who will be our first technology go-to expert and play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. In this position, you will oversee our overall technology development and technology utilization plan and manage all information technology resources of our company and will also communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately.

Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator and public speaker, we’d like to meet you.

Job Description:
  • The CTO will have to lead a team of System Administrators, L3 Admins and Shift supervisors who lead close to 200 Engineers.
  • The CTO will need to understand the needs of each and every internal team and provide them with Technical resources or Human resources as per the evolving needs of the business.
  • He/she will need monitor and review the dashboard on regular basis to understand trends of issues raised by the customers and figure out solution to eliminate the top level issues appearing on the dashboard.
  • He/she will need to optimize the parameters of the dashboard to keep on further improvising the capabilities of the Technical Support team to deliver world class experience to the customers of the company.
  • The CTO is expected to go deep into the Technology operations of the company and help the teams like Linux Support, Windows Support, Storage Management, DBA Support, Application Support, Network Management Team, Security Team and Monitoring team to evolve their operations to match the expectations of the customers.
  • Developing infrastructure plan, hiring plan, training plan and capacity planning to meet business growth.
  • Managing Cloud projects and entire Cloud infrastructure deployed across multiple Data Centers of the company.
  • Applying policy / rules defined and promote it to its team.
  • Managing IT Helpdesk and IT Infrastructure and Operation team.
  • The CTO will handle all the Technical Support Staff across all the Data Centers of the company within India as well as outside India.
  • You will manage implementation and enhancement of IT infrastructure projects.
  • You will manage change initiatives properly and in a systematically manner to ensure availability, performance and reliability of the systems impacted by change.
  • You will organize, supervise, and develop Helpdesk and focus on meeting the SLA’s and Security commitments towards the customers business and data 
  • You will escalate to the CEO any new request that is not part of standard catalogue of services.
  • You will keep the procurement head informed on regular basis on the trends of consumption of the resources and need for procurement of new IT Infrastructure resources.
  • You will communicate with the CEO, COO & CRO with efficiency and accuracy on progress of important projects and/or delays or incase of breach of SLA for top customers.
  • As a decision-maker, you will decide what technologies will be adopted to meet future business needs, prioritize project, assemble project team, assign resource allocation, select vendor, recommend to buy the IT systems using approved IT budget, etc.

 

Strong technical knowledge on:

  • Strong understanding of Architecture of Various Linux Distro’s, Windows Server Operating systems, Network Management, Infrastructure Security and Database Administration.
  • Strong understanding of popular third party applications and control panels like cPanel, Plesk, SAP, Oracle Apps, etc
  • Large-scale enterprise or commercial infrastructure system development and integration.
  • Server: AD/DHCP/DNS, file/print, database, web, messaging, infrastructure application, business applications, remote access, virtualized.
  • Storage: DAS, NAS, SAN
  • Network: LAN/WAN/WIFI, VPN
  • Security: firewall, WAF, antivirus, IPS/IDS
  • Cloud services (infrastructure as a service, platform as a service & Software as a Service).
  • Server virtualization platforms (VMware platform, HyperV, Xen Citrix).
  • Business continuity, disaster recovery, backup planning and implementation.
  • Monitoring systems for the internal infrastructure as well as Client Cloud infrastructure.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
  • A passion for Service Improvement and experienced Service Management professional.
  • Previous experience as a CTO or demonstrable experience in leading Technology teams across multiple locations equivalent to a CTO role.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party services and 3rd party delivered hardware & software products.
  • Service Management or Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines.
  • Expert knowledge of ITIL disciplines.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to support and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent customer facing/customer service skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of managing a training organization and also hiring process for mass recruitment.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility including shifts and out of hours working.
