Introduction

Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Bank (or MUDRA Bank) is a public sector financial institution in India. It provides loans at low rates to micro-finance institutions and non-banking financial institutions which then provide credit to MSMEs. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 8, 2015.

Prima Facie, in India, there is not a single nationalized bank running its operations on cloud platform as security is gauged to be of striking concern. Within the framework and overall objective of development and growth of micro enterprises, the Government of India wanted to acquire a standalone and complete technology solution capable of meeting requirements of different sectors/business activities as well as business/entrepreneur segments on a secure foundation.

With women entrepreneurs, Banks/NBFCs/MFIs logging into the system on a daily basis, the digital solution was a crucial aspect.

Challenge

For MUDRA’s dynamic digital platform for critical financial data, it was important to develop and implement a comprehensive security solution, exclusively offered by ESDS. A robust eNlight Cloud based monitoring solution encompassing MTvScan’s security at all levels is one-of-its-kind offering, which was acclaimed by MUDRA. Solution

A dynamic web portal was developed using best-in-class technology. Monitoring was a key concern for MUDRA and ESDS’ development teams analyzed the best way to deliver functionality with convenience for analysts in data analysis.
