John Strong - Chief Billing & Overseas Manager

John has 9 years of experience in the hosting industry and from a young age has always been involved with some aspect of management. Before joining ESDS, John worked for webhosting companies in the UK, The Netherlands and Germany.

He joined ESDS 3 years ago and rose to the CEO of UK Operations earlier this year. The role of CEO(UK) Operations involves John having complete management of UK related hosting companies and assets on a day to day basis. For ESDS in India, John is the Manager of the overseas Billing Department and the overseas Telephone Support Department, as well as being responsible for the Quality Control Department.

John's primary skills are in customer service and communication. In customer service, he performs the vital role of anticipating customer needs before they become needs and ensuring customers are always valued. With his sincere approach, John has been able to explain complex situations to clients on a number of occasions and ensures things are never left unfinished.

In 2010 John was responsible for deploying the storage systems currently in use for the overseas operation clusters and building up our UK staff base to provide an even higher level of support to our customers. With a keen interest in accounts, John has also simplified our UK accounting procedures to ensure we are paying the correct amount of tax and meeting all of our obligations.

Personal Statement
From a young age I have always had an interest in computers. I continued this interest in my education, but my interests diverged from the main stream. While my friends and classmates were interested in databases and programming, I opted more for what services IT could provide and what could be added on. From starting out with an interest in various file transfer protocols and communication protocols, I settled into webhosting in my early twenties. Since then I haven't looked back and I constantly push myself to exceed in this field. From Piyush Somani, ESDS CEO, I have learnt that in business you can't stand still, because if you do you will end up slipping backwards. This is why both on a personal level and a professional level I always strive to move forward. I'm happy to say that this is a quality ESDS both embodies and demonstrates on a daily basis.
