R-APDRP project of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd

ESDS has successfully completed the Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Programme project that required preparation of Base-line data for the project area including Consumer Indexing, GIS Mapping and Matering of Distribution Transformers and Feeders. This project also included Asset mapping of the distribution of network over the entire assigned geography. ESDS has completed the same for two towns of Maharashtra namely Malegaon and Ballarpur.

NH213 By-Pass Alignment Fixing

ESDS was assigned the By-Pass Alignment Fixing project for national Highway number 213 by the Public Works Department of Kerala. This bypass extends from Oradupalam to Mannathumangalam that fall under the Perinthalmanna Muncipality. We used the techniques of Global Positioning System (GPS), Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) and Satellite Images to successfully complete this project.

Edavanakkad Crisis Information Support System

The Edavanakkad coastal region is a Tsunami prone area that is bordered by low lying back waters. ESDS deployed Open Source Geospatial Crisis Information Support System to study the topography of that region and figure out the most feasible evacuation route. ESDS successfully completed this project which resulted in the region being better prepared for Disaster management like preparedness, prevention, mitigation, recovery, and disaster response.

Development of Disaster Vulnerability Modelling & Management System for Alleppey Municipality

Alleppey being a coastal region is also prone to floods and tsunami. ESDS took up this project for effective disaster management for Alleppey District. Evacuation Routes and Safe Locations were identified with the help of ESDS’ GIS. Also, emergency landing helipads were identified which will aid rapid disaster response activities. ESDS completed this project using the Open Source Geographic Information System.

• Developing a School Mapping System which is a Web Based Information System for Government Schools in Attingal Municipality, Trivandrum using Geospatial Technology
• Forest Type Classification for Munnar Panchayat using IRS LISS III Image for Forest Department
• Implementation of Drinking Water Management System for Nadapuram Panchayat with GIS Application Package development using Geospatial Technology
• Watershed Management Plan for Kundah Watershed in Udhagamandalam District Tamilnadu
• POI Collection of Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat State using GPS and GIS
• Road Extraction of Entire Kerala with Subtypes and Attributes (Southern Zone Completed, Northern Zone Ongoing)
